Maronite Enrichment Days
The Maronite Seminary is finally ready to re-open its doors and to welcome you once again to its yearly event, the Maronite Enrichment Days, which has evolved into a venue for continuing education for Maronite clergy and laity.
From Tuesday, April 26, until Friday, April 28, 2022, Msgr. Azar, the seminarians, and I are eager to host you. We are excited to inform you that the preparations for these days are underway.
Dr. Jeanne-Nicole Mellon Saint-Laurent, a professor at Marquette University, and Fr. Claude Franklin have accepted our invitations to be the main guest speakers at this year’s in person Maronite Enrichment Days event. (Please see below for more details).
For planning purposes, the organizers ask you kindly to register online ASAP but no later than Friday, April 20, 2022. There is no fee associated with registration.
The organizers have secured the rate of $129.00 at the Courtyard by Marriott until April 8, 2022. You may book your hotel room online at the Courtyard By Marriott or by calling (301) 589-4899 (Rate Code: Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Seminary). The hotel is a mile away and provides a shuttle service to the Maronite Seminary.
The organizers ask priests who wish to concelebrate at the Divine Mysteries to bring their Jibbehs and stoles.
Deacons and Subdeacons who want to serve at these celebrations should bring their albs and stoles.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Msgr. Peter (Fahed) Azar, Rector

Consecration of the Oils Liturgy, 2022
Dear Brother Priests, Deacons and Subdeacons, Consecrated Men and Women:
The Divine Liturgy for the Consecration of the Chrism and Holy Oils will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 5th at 12 noon at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lebanon in Brooklyn, New York. A Lenten luncheon for all will follow in the hall.
Although the current situation might be challenging for some, we, nonetheless, invite all priests and parishioners throughout the Eparchy and extend a welcome for those priests able to stay overnight, either with me at the Cathedral Rectory, at a nearby Maronite Parish, or with Bishop Gregory at his residence.
Please RSVP by emailing me at cathrectory@verizon.net
One can also follow us online that day on youtube.
As we know, at the Liturgy for the Consecration of the Chrism, the Bishop takes the vessel of the old Chrism and pours a small amount into the vessel of the new oil to be blessed. The Chrism and Holy Oils that are sent to our parishes and used by the priests are not only a sign of unity in the Eparchy with the Bishop and amongst ourselves, but also a visible sign of a tradition handed down from generation to generation, from the old to the new.
I hope you and your parishioners will consider coming if you are able.
In Jesus Christ,
Abouna Dominique Hanna
