Dear Brother Priests, Deacons/Subdeacons, Consecrated Men and Women:
Today I received the sad news of the passing of Mrs. Angele Mrad Abi Chedid, mother of Father Elie Abi Chedid. She passed after a long suffering and after a full life of dedicated and sacrificial love for her family. Fr. Elie was unable to be with her when she passed; he received the sad news of her passing yesterday.
Angele was the widow of Simon Sasseen Abi Chedid. She is survived by her six sons, Michel, Joseph, Fr. Elie, Fadi, Raymond, and Maroun and their families. She is also survived by many relatives and friends.
On behalf of the Eparchy of Saint Maron, Clergy, Religious and Laity, I extend to Father Elie our heartfelt condolences and prayers.
May God grant her eternal rest in his kingdom, and grant consolation and peace to Fr. Elie and her family.
