Saint Sharbel Spiritual Center Grand Opening
It is with great joy that we invite you to the Grand Opening of the Saint Sharbel Spiritual Life Center, which will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024! The Saint Sharbel Spiritual Life Center is dedicated to the Lebanese-born Maronite Catholic saint whose prayerful intercessions are credited for thousands of spiritual and physical healings.
Year of Prayer in anticipation of the Jubilee Year 2025
On January 21, 2024, Pope Francis opened the Year of Prayer in anticipation of the Jubilee Year 2025. The Holy Father’s intention is to have us look closely at how we relate to the Church, to the family, and to the world, according to the wisdom of the Second Vatican Council, and then apply this practically to our own life of prayer.

All young adults (ages 18 to 39) invited for an Easter Retreat the weekend of April 5-7, 2024. Hosted at new Saint Sharbel Spiritual Life Center in conjunction with Our Lady of Victory parish in Pittsburgh. The theme for the retreat weekend is Risen: Hearts on Fire taking their inspiration from the Emmaus Story (Luke 24).

Cir.24.27 The Passing of Monsignor Assad Awad
It is my sad duty to announce the passing of Monsignor Assad Awad on February 24, 2024 in Lebanon. Monsignor Awad was born April 25, 1932, in Mar Mema, Lebanon. He served as a pastor of St. Ann Church in Scranton, Pennsylvania from 1969 until 1972, as pastor of St. Elias Church in Roanoke from 1972 until 1997, and in the year 2000. was appointed pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Worcester, Massachusetts.

2024 Maronite Enrichment Days
The 2024 Maronite Enrichment Days, a yearly event for continuing education for Maronite clergy and laity, will take place April 9 through 12, 2024 at the Maronite Seminary in Washington, DC.
Dr. Robin Darling Young, a professor at The Catholic University of America, will be our guest speaker, introducing us to Evagrius of Pontus (AD 345-399) and his influence on Syriac theology and spirituality.

We received yesterday the sad news of the passing of Khalil Youssef Farah, the brother of Fr. Robert Farah.
He passed at the age of 93. He is survived by his siblings Mona Naffah, Edward Farah, George Farah, and Fr. Robert Farah, as well as his wife Leila, children, grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
Fourteenth Annual Benefit Dinner for Eparchy of Saint Maron a Smashing Success!
Over 170 people celebrated at the Fourteenth Annual Benefit Dinner for the Eparchy of Saint Maron on Thursday, October 5 at the Union League Club on Park Avenue in Manhattan.
Proceeds from the Benefit Dinner help educate Seminarians, small parishes, and the ministries of the Eparchy. Donations are still being accepted until November 4
The Seven Mysteries
The Maronite Servants of Christ the Light will be hosting a new online series of workshops starting Thursday October 12 to help our people to learn more about the Seven Mysteries (Sacraments).
There will be four different priests from the Eparchy of Saint Maron presenting these sessions on four consecutive Thursdays at 8pm. Following the presentation there will be time for Q&A.

Passing of Marie Pietrafesa Soliani, mother of Subdeacon Michael Soliani
Marie Pietrafesa Soliani, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, GG, sister, aunt, godmother and friend, passed away at 82 after a two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at her home with Lisa and Subdeacon Michael by her side.
Calling hours will be held at Cook Funeral Home, Wednesday, September 6th from 4pm to 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Maron’s Church, Torrington, CT, at 10am on Thursday, September 7th with the Rosary at 9:30am.
