First Prayer

Lord, have mercy on us and save us. O Christ,
mediator between the Father and ourselves,
you have taken our nature upon yourself
and made known to us the mystery of your divine nature.
You pardoned the sins of the paralytic and healed his illness.
he carried his litter and walked away glorifying God.
Forgive also our sins and engrave your teachings on our hearts,
then we shall follow you joyfully, carry our cross
and thank you, your Father, and your Holy Spirit, for ever.
