Make us worthy, O Lord God,
to light the lamp of our souls
with the oil of charity
like the Wise Virgins,
to await you, O heavenly Bridegroom,
anxiously and vigilantly,
and to enter, in your company,
your kingdom, filled of joy.

We will offer glory and thanksgiving
to you, to your Father, and to your Holy Spirit,
for ever.
